Where to find us:

The Dance Center of Spokane emphasizes bringing the enjoyment and performance of dance to all ages at all levels. The studio offers a diverse range of  styles.

bullet The Ballet program focuses on fun yet careful training for all ages. The Ballet teachers are all either registered teachers of the Royal Academy of Dance or are in our Teacher Training Program. The syllabus emphasizes age appropriate training with special care to develop the dancer correctly in relation to what their bodies can handle as they grow. At the end of each level students get a chance to present their work to a visiting examiner. This program meets the needs of students who want to dance recreationally, or for the student who may want to pursue a career in Ballet, either as a teacher or a professional dancer. We have added the American Academy of Ballet's Performance Awards to give the students another positive performance opportunity. We have a nonprofit Ballet Company, Spokane Ballet Ensemble*, to further our students' performing and theater experiences.
bullet The Tap program offers the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing syllabus. This exciting endeavor follows along the same body awareness guidelines of the ballet program. The performance classes are expanding down to age 6. These groups travel and perform throughout the year. We also have a strong Adult Tap program.
bullet The Jazz program is now following a syllabus created by Ciara Murano-Steele. All the teachers have been trained in this new syllabus and are very excited to put it to use this year. We are also expanding jazz performance classes down to age five!

bullet Hip Hop is going strong! We are offering performance classes at both the intermediate and advanced level! Plus we are adding Hip Hop classes for 6-8 yr olds.
bullet Our Gymnastics program  includes basic tumbling and beam.. Expanded curriculum includes Tap n Tumble and Mom and Me.
