Shari Davis

Shari Davis
Ballet, Jazz, and Modern
Artistic Director, Spokane Ballet Ensemble*

Shari is the Owner and Director of The Dance Center of Spokane. Shari is a Royal Academy of Dance registered teacher and has taught dance for 23 years, 19 of them at the Dance Center of Spokane. Shari previously studied RAD and ISTD ballet with Tessa Williams. She graduated from Ferris High School and EWU with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater/Dance.


Kathleen Olson
Tap

Kathleen Olson, Director of our Mini, Small Fry, and Men's Line companies studied with Sherry York. She went on to teach Tap for many years before she found her home at The Dance Center of Spokane. Kathleen has produced many award winning numbers. She currently teaches the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing Tap program. She also likes to choreograph Musical Theater and Jazz.

Darla Stephens

Darla Stephens

Choreographer, Spokane Ballet Ensemble*

Darla has been teaching at The Dance Center of Spokane for the last 15 years. She is a Royal Academy of Dance Registered Teacher. Darla graduated from Lewis and Clark. She previously studied ISTD and RAD ballet with Tessa Williams. She has studied Jazz with Gus Giordano, Frank Hatchett, Dave Massey, Mia Michaels and many other great teachers.

 


Julie Pegau
Ballet

Julie studied at the University of Alaska, Cornish, and the University of Illinois, and in the past has directed her own studio. She is a Royal Academy of Dance Registered Teacher. Julie has taught Ballet for 23 years, the last 15 at The Dance Center of Spokane.

Janet danced at Kasai Dance Studio in Pocatello ID. She went on to train with Sherry York. Janet began working with us in 2002.

Hip Hop
 
Ashley currently is a member of the Westplains Cowboys Dance Team. She has a passion for Hip Hop.

Alisha Burger
Ballet, Jazz, Tap

Alisha trained at the Dance Center of Spokane for over 10 years. She is currently attending SFCC. Alisha is an excellent dancer who has won many awards over the years in competition, including outstanding showmanship. She also has won many scholarships for her dancing. Alisha went on to further herself as a teacher by attending a training school in Utah. She has been teaching dance for one year at the Dance Center of Spokane and has developed a love of teaching. She is trained in all styles of dance and will be teaching them all.


Donna Peterson
Tap

Donna started tap dancing at 30. She is now entering her 23rd season of dance. Donna has danced with performing and competition groups throughout her dance career, and she has been teaching adult dance classes for 14 years. Donna came to the Dance Center in 2000 as a student and is proud to consider the staff and students her dance family.
