Shari Davis
Ballet, Jazz, and Modern
Artistic Director, Spokane Ballet Ensemble*

Shari is the Owner and Director of The Dance Center of Spokane. Shari is a Royal Academy of Dance registered teacher and has taught dance for 28 years, 24 of them at the Dance Center of Spokane. Shari previously studied RAD and ISTD ballet with Tessa Williams. She graduated from Ferris High School and EWU with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater/Dance.


Kathleen Olson
Tap

Kathleen Olson, Director of our Men's Line companies studied with Sherry York. She went on to teach Tap for many years before she found her home at The Dance Center of Spokane. Kathleen has produced many award winning numbers. She currently teaches the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing Tap program. She also likes to choreograph Musical Theater and Jazz. Kathleen has been teaching at the Dance Center for 10 years.

Julie Pegau

Julie Pegau
Ballet

Julie studied at the University of Alaska, Cornish, and the University of Illinois, and in the past has directed her own studio. She is a Royal Academy of Dance Registered Teacher. Julie has taught Ballet for 30 years, the last 22 at The Dance Center of Spokane.

 


Alisha Burger
Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop

Alisha trained at the Dance Center of Spokane for over 10 years. She is currently attending EWU. Alisha is an excellent dancer who has won many awards over the years in competition, including outstanding showmanship. She also has won many scholarships for her dancing. Alisha went on to further herself as a teacher by attending a training school in Utah. She has been teaching dance for 4 years at the DCOS and has developed a love of teaching. She is trained in all styles of dance and will be teaching them all. Alisha has won many awards for her choreography.

 


Stacie Collins
Tap & tumble, Jazz, Jazz & Gym

Stacie has been dancing for 21 years and teaching dance for 9 years. Her training has been underneath Isabelle’s Dance Time (Isabelle Cook & Joe Hofer), Dance Time Theatre Company, Gails’ School of Dance (Gail Bongiovanni), Chris’ Upstage Performance Studio (Chris Anderson), and The Dance Center of Spokane (Shari Davis). Her training has been based on these styles: Jazz (Luigi, LA and Fosse) Ballet, Pointe, Hip Hop (Street, Rocking, Floor Rocking and Locking), Contemporary, Modern (Martha Graham, Horton, Ailey, Bartenieff Fundamentals, Duncan and Cunningham), Lyrical, Partnering, Creative Improve, Body Percussion and Tap. Stacie even ran her own dance studio Rhythm-N-Joy Dancing in Airway Heights, Washington. She is specializing in Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Modern, Lyrical, Basic Tumbling/Gymnastics, Hip Hop/Street, Choreography, and Creative Movement for Children, and Mom and Me. Stacie has also been a member of Inland Northwest Dance Association for 7 years and is currently INDA Vice President. Stacie is also part of the INDA Fall Workshop Committee and INDA Spokane Dance Fest Committee.


Kelly DesRosiers
Jazz

Kelly Des Rosiers trained at the Dance Center of Spokane for 8 years. She graduated form University High School. She graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2007 with Bachelor of Science in Economics. She studied all styles of dance and won numerous awards as a dancer.


Kirsten Lindsey
Ballet, Tap

Kirsten began her training at the Dance Center and trained her for 13 years, studying the RAD syllabus in ballet as well as the ISTD tap syllabus. She then went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA. Her passion is teaching dance as well as choreography, participating in performing and setting her own choreographic pieces while attending Point Park. She will be teaching ballet and tap classes this year.
